It depends, if Ortiz is doing well and not forced to feel his age he can likely go just fine for 12 rounds.

12 hard rounds against a committed foe probably not especially if they hit his body.

Don't know if any of that comes into play against Wilder because it could end early, and Wilder if he is to take it into deep water and does well, he is likely hanging on the outside and not attacking Ortiz's torso.

Ortiz could beat any heavy. To me the hate for Ortiz seems like its to downplay Wilder if he wins.
Last year everyone knew Ortiz history but everyone said he'd beat Joshua and Wilder.

Whoever wins will gain a lot of respect from me. Same with Joshua Parker

Ortiz Scott was a terrible fight yes. I don't think you can say Ortiz looked terrible when he won every round.

If I remember correctly, Ortiz has never been knocked down. I expect he will counter from good guard and safely out box Wilder. Eventually someone is getting koed but if it did go to decision Ortiz wins.

Ortiz is better than Parker, and if he can still fight like he did against Jennings a little over two years ago, than Wilder loses. Wilder has been hurt, and doesn't have boxing skills to fall back on if his power doesn't land. I am surprised how much opinion has turned against Ortiz.

Wilder just needs to stay focused and not get reckless but he has all the advantages here. He's correct about Ortiz's ability to last far into the fight but he will still have to be careful of getting tagged with a big counter punch. I think Ortiz is going to make Wilder look like a hybrid of Ali-Foreman. Ortiz looked like crap against Malick Scott a long time ago and he won't be any better here and now in 2018, without his PEDs.

Bash Wilder all you want for his "windmill punches" and his "chicken legs" but the fact remains that outside of AJ no other hw has much of a chance against him. To be fair though, his legs do look unnaturally small, skinny. And some of his punches do seem to be long, looping shots which an elite opponent should be able to take advantage of.

Wilder's fans will say, it is how special Wilder is, with crazy ko power, and punches from odd angles. Wilder's haters will say it just shows how truly horrible todays hw's are. The truth is a little of both.

I like watching him fight. He isn't a hw version of Spence, but I root for him and he wins by ko so it is always good to see him in action. Though, the only fight that matters at hw is AJ-Wilder.
