Because he's a world-level fighter, who isn't really all that impressed with fighting.

$500k+ per fight (with taxes, Haymon, and camp expenses basically his own burden), and he's basically been living on $300k per year.

For a talented guy, who doesn't really take punishment, though still dedicated to do the work for a sport he's not enamored with, that's an alright deal.
