In dougies mailbag on the ring site, he said the plan he heard is for Spence vs Danny garcia in June if Garcia gets past rios.

I doubt it. If Spence is fighting in Dallas in June, it won't be against Danny. I can see that fight in the fall though.

Yea honestly dropping that IBF belt at first opportunity to drop it makes sense. The IBF aggressively pushes some of the most bs mandatory's out there. Spence's resume looks better if he can get another abc belt & have more ability to pick & choose good, name brand opponents.

It's amazing some of these fights get sanctioned at all. I'd go after Crawford after this and forget about Thurman, there is no one in the IBF that will get him anywhere.

I think the title is confusing people. Ocampo was saying he hasn't heard anything from his promoter so he's not sure if he's fighting Spence in June or not. He's not saying he won't be ready in June. He's just saying he doesn't know what's going on. The fight was just ordered by the IBF yesterday

I'm perfectly okay with him having a tune up after being out so long, but him saying Spence isn't happening til 2019 is diva bs.

I remember when Thurman was showing up to Paulie M pressers talking sh^t. Now Thurman is turning into the same cats he was dogging when they were champion when he's champion.
