    Matthysse's opponent

Had a quick look at his boxrec and saw nothing but journeyman
BUT looked at him on YT and hes ****ing HUGE and actually pretty skilled.

I hope Lucas win's considering hes never won a belt, thought he beat Judah and alexander...but he might actually lose this.

looks like he has a good jab and throws it with real intent and accuracy he might hit hard too its hard to judge from that fight alone but that guy looked scared stiff of his right hand near the end

they always seem to put lucas in with these no name tough guys who are durable/hard hitting its done him no favours at all being in these wars

his opponent wasnt very good in the youtube video, very crude guy with an inflated record.

But from what we could see, kiram has a very good, snappy jab and was able to land at will with it, stays at midrange and is able to keep at range. No answers about his durability, heart, defense and power at higher levels.

Nevertheless, weve already seen how you can beat matthysse and kiram could use postols tactics to beat him. I do think the prospect of a (regular) title motivates matthysse, but I think his loss against postol and the wars against molina and provodnikov took much away from him.

So while i think matthysse should be the favourite, the betting odds at -1400 for matthysse should be a closer.

Matthysse is (or was) fine against fighters who prefer to be on the front foot. A front foot fighter with a good jab is something he can handle because he has a good boxing brain when he uses it.

A back foot fighter with a good jab is a different story. He's short and has slow hands for a world level fighter.

Agree his jab looks very very good and his head movement and combinations are decent too.

Considering the eye injury which could play a key part (you never fully recover from those injuries) Could Kiram beat lucas easier than postol?

Thai guys are similar to Jap's and Koreans in the respect that they all seem to be tough as nails with granite chins...

Will be rooting for lucas regardless, but if the Thai peppers that eye with his ramrod jab for 5-6 rounds, i think we'll see the end of matthysse in a couple of days tbh.

Just found his most recent fight, which he won via decision. His opponent was a southpaw, not very good, but he knocked kiram down in the second round, while they tried to exchange right hooks.
Kiram also looks to be open for the southpaw left straight counter.

i read that it was a flash KD, it didn't seem like that to me. one more day and we'll found out how good kiram really is. in the mean time joel diaz is saying that if lucas losses tomorrow he should retire and i agree with that honestly.

He has some skill, but it's hard to make a strong judgement based on his opposition level.

Tomorrow will be the truth teller.
