only way winky makes you miss is if he uses his legs their for he'd be going backwards. if he catch punchs, taylor is smart enough to keep feeding him punchs and at the same time tell him "winky stop hitting yourself....winky stop hitting yourself" winky will then respond "dad!! taylor is hitting me..." -
Um, so Taylor is gonna throw punches non stop 3 minutes for every round? He will throw, Winky will catch, Taylor will stop throwing, Winky will smack Jermain in the face with a jab and str8 left because Taylor has no defense.. This will be repeated every roundOriginally posted by ferocityonly way winky makes you miss is if he uses his legs their for he'd be going backwards. if he catch punchs, taylor is smart enough to keep feeding him punchs and at the same time tell him "winky stop hitting yourself....winky stop hitting yourself" winky will then respond "dad!! taylor is hitting me..."
Taylor will win 4 rounds on aggressiveness and his missing wild punches look pretty to the biased Memphis fans and judges.
116-112 Wink Doggy Dawg
Also people are thinking WInkys peekaboo style is the only form a defense he uses, he also slipps punches, duck and sidesteps. Thinking thats his only form of defense could be Taylors downfallLast edited by King Jaffe Joffer; 06-13-2006, 07:07 PM.Comment

Funny thing is Winky wasnt that far in the scorecards, he was boxing the **** out of dude. Take away 5 knockdowns and Winky is destroying him in the cards. But anyway, what does this have to do with him and Taylor??

From a Wright perspective you have to fear a Hopkins-like bias. Taylor is the new bright star. His skills warrant this but he also has the machine behind him. He may get rounds on simply looking like he's doing damage and being aggressive. Similar to his fights with Hopkins.
Lampley, the judges, etc made way to much of him being the "aggressor" and "dominating the early rounds." A lot of those highlights from the Hopkins fight they use for the Taylor/Wright promos show this. You know the ones with B-hop falling into the ropes? That was a slip and a dodge of a punch.
You ever watch a fight with someone who isn't a boxing fan? You know, just a casual fan? They'll "oooooh" and "ahhhhh" at a flurry of punches until you show them in the replay how most of the punches were blocked and did little damage.Comment
