Boxers who got fat after retiring.

Some fighters let themselves go after retiring. Why do you think this is? Is it because boxers have to go on a strict diet to make weight? And who were some fighters who got fat after retiring?

yeah man, if you're sitting on bank, and your entire life/career has been to stick to a strict diet and every1 says the hardest part is making weight.. then yeah, its a no brainer really

but then again, some guys stay in mad shape - i.e. nigel benn comes to mind

Just lazy by nature and probably never liked working out, so when they aren't fighting anymore they eat and get fat.

I think a common byproduct of being a retired athlete is all those bad habits you had to work harder to overcome as a pro athlete take over once you aren't working at all. Or its just a one extreme to another type thing cuz you've made your body such a machine, when you aren't doing the normal sh^t x times a year your body is always waiting for you to start & packing on weight for the winter or whatever its thinking your preparing for by not doing what you usually do.

I'd be curious to see some science sh^t on this doe cuz it does seem there is a high percentage of athletes who go from insane shape to beyond the bad average shape of non-pro athletes when they are finished with their careers.

Unbelievable that he still has a six pack. Very impressive.
