mikeys pressure and activity made broner hold those shots. that was the game plan. if your in broner face and dont let him get comfortable, he freezes up. broner scary ass didnt want to let them hands go cause mikey had that jab and body work on him.

i think it has more to do with broner declining. that's how fighters act when they're on the decline. looks good in training but in actual fight, cant pull the trigger anymore, see pacquiao as an example.

You don't become the best of your generation by fighting unknown Russian guys with barely 13 fights.

i don't think it was him declining,,the same thing happened in the maidana fight, whenever maidana just stood in front of him broner looked good but once he started with all the punching, non stop and swarming him broner didn't look that good...i think if garcia beats linares and does end up fighting lomachenko and beats him nobody can't say he isn't any good,,,i think he could have been great right now but was out for two years and in boxing thats a lot,,,lost about 6 fights in those two years..but let's see what happens after the lipinets fight, hopefully linares,i don't care for the easter fight anymore,i think he's not that good, atleast after his last three fights i don't think he is

Mikey absolutely can be in the running for the best of his generation.

He has the boxing IQ for it and he hits hard with both hands.

He has 0 defeats, his resume is ok, he has 3 good wins, Broner, Salido and Roman Martinez. After he beats Lipinets ( he probably will), he should stay in 140 divison. 147 is too much for him. he can get some solid wins at 140, like Postol, Indongo, Barthelemy. Or even better, moving back down to lightweight.

these are some high expectations. But sky is the limit he just needs to take and beat Linares at 135 then camp out at 140 scoop up all them belts. Get Lomachenko to fight you at 135 or 140. At 135 NOBODY beats him, at 140 with the hole left by Crawford he can be king. My fear is he moves up too fast to 147 chasing paper. Needs to stay clear of Crawford, Spence, ect. Those guys too big and have skills to go with it.
