One of the most experienced and probably the most prepared amateur in history decides to turn pro. Has 6 WSB fights which are pro fights disguised as semi-pro (fighters are paid and same rules as pro fights). So he can prepare and fool the casuals/morons into thinking he still had 0 pro fights. Signs a contract with Arum and is promised a title shot in his 2nd fight. WBO is paid off and he has the opportunity to win a title in his so called 2nd fight (really his 8th to non casuals/morons) against cherry picked opponent. Gets outfought in the fight against the big underdog and loses.

The guy had everything laid out for him, the easiest possible route and lost. Epic Fail.

Yes that was a good one. Broner making videos from his hotel pointing at the arena saying there's going to be a crime/beating happening in there. Then leaves the ring crying.

every time an a-side fighter loses its an epic fail. that really should never happen aside from the odd pacman cold ko. even if you do lose the fight like ward-kovalev the judges will save you so you really have to lose hard to lose. you have to lose so hard that the judges say "man fu-ck this guy sucks, im not even going to cheat for him, im going to return the bribe!"

Lewis-Rahman I

Lewis coming back to Africa as a "great heavyweight" like he was Ali or something and gets flattened by a bum at the peak of his career coming off his best year (2000).

They promoted it like Lewis was Ali coming to Zaire to fight Ali except Lewis was like a 25/30-1 favorite. Got flattened in his prime for the second time by a bum dispelling the myth of his greatness right in his prime.

Russell-Lomachenko. Everything was set up for US olympian Russell Jr to win. One of the judges was bought off by Haymon and the purse bid was won by Haymon which brought the fight to Showtime. Even counting the WSB fights, Russell had 3 TIMES more pro experience than Lomachenko who was coming off a loss and everything was set up for him to win the fight and then when they step in the ring Russell wasn't even competitive. He barely won 2 rounds and even the bought off judge could only muster an Adalaide Byrd-esque draw score. That probably is the biggest epic fail of the last 20 years.

Yeah, Lomachenko was 1-1 Russel was an unbeaten pro for a good few years. He had the home advantage too, and he got schooled.
