WOW! The Charlo Bros still fighting on undercards in 2018

Aren't they popular enough to be fighting as a main event as champion's?

One Charlo will fight in the Wilder vs Ortiz Undercard while the other Charlo fights on the Santa Cruz vs Mares 2 undercard.

I think the Mexican boxers still sell better than the Charlo's That Mexican fanbase in the US is a nice lil niche market for promoters. Plus a HW title fight is still a huge thing & probably should be headlining any event its on.

Why is Jermell fighting in June and not the co-feature to Lara-Hurds? Made too much sense I guess.

Probably DiBella. He seems to be Al's favorite promoter puppet these days.

Whoever is putting on those shows. And the Charlo's got a fanbase now, but yea they should have a bigger one & they probably would if they had a specific promoter invested in their upside. Its definitely becoming a problem with PBC fighters.

For all the copycatting of Floyd Haymon has tried to do he's seemingly forgot that Floyd was promoted by Bob til he was 29 & had accumulated belts in 4 divisions. Floyd had to get away from Bob to make himself as successful as he'd become, but its shortsighted or naive to think that decade with Arum didn't do a lot of the ground work on getting Floyd to where he'd go.

The problem with PBC guys is they are in the post-Arum stage when they ain't did sh^t yet for their part time promoter to even suck their **** a lil bit let alone to be as invested in them like Arum was in Floyd when he was sucking Floyd's **** for the public. Get these mfers with a promoter who's invested in their long term success & once they are names & can sell throw them out there with whoever promoting them cuz at that point they'll be the actual show. BUT the problem seems to be ALL THESE MFERS are being pushed like they'll be someone one day when that is anything but the case & guys who have the best shot to be someone, Spence & the Charlo's probably, aren't getting hyped as much as they could be or should be in the meantime.

Definitely a situation that needs to be re-looked at & re-configured for more immediate, short & long term success.

Showtime is in a win win situation. It's smart to put a Charlo on any Wilder card here forward as we get closer to a Joshua vs Wilder narrative for casuals. Also Brooklyn boxing benefits too in having Wilder and Charlo considering their not tri state original fighters.

Even a Charlo married to a Staples center is good for the Mares Cruz bout.

But lets be real, the real reason is because both Charlos had awkward last performances. The Heilland bout was garbage with the Argentinian flopping on with his injury, not good for TV.

The Lubin bout was nice doe
