He simply doesn’t have the determination and mental fortitude to succeed at the top level. It’s a shame cause as much as people like to suggest Broner was just a talentless hype job, he was actually a very gifted fighter albeit a somewhat overhyped one.
Idk if I'd go that far. I think its a winnable fight for both & assuming both guys came in shape + focused I'd probably favor Broner to win. But as stated you can't trust Broner to show up, but even if he 75% shows up is that enough to beat Figueroa with his holes & non-defense? Sh^t idk. I trust that I don't trust wtf could happen here with Broner's mental lapses in the ring & with Figueroa's defensive lapses & highly exploitable fighting style.

I think El Ondeado 60/40 Broner is a reasonable take on the fight. Thing is my Broner % has to be averaged out. I think if Broner does show up he's like 75% to win, but if he doesn't show up he's like 35% to win. And the odds are more leaning towards him now showing up so 60/40 seems in the ballpark of expectations.

I could see Broner have Figueroa look amateur-ish or I could see Figueroa on Broner's chest all night with Broner looking like he's about to cry by the 5th round at the all but official L he's about to take.

I agree that you can’t really trust either of them, I’m just kind of convinced that Figueroa will simply just outwork him. I think this fight will be pretty resemblant to Broner vs Porter. I agree Broner is the more talented fighter but I just don’t think he has the output or frankly the desire to throw enough shots to win rounds against Figueroa. I got Figueroa by a clear UD.

If Figueroa wins thats how he'll win more or less I'm definitely with you there.

I just got questions his way too is my thing. How close is Figueroa to being a Porter-level talent & do like Porter did vs Broner? Idk. Will his defense leave too many holes for Broner to take advantage of? Idk. Will Figueroa even make the weight? Idk. I got more questions, towards both sides, than answers for this fight which is an odd feeling when the guys are as known as these two & it says a lot about where both guys are at in their careers.

Broner looked like shyt against granados in a fight he easily could of lost the decision, needed a 12 round rally knockdown to eek by emanual taylor. And looked terrible in the Ashley fight. So it's not just his official losses that's troubling (maidana, mikey, porter). You have to go back a long time since he had a impressive win. Grandos just lost to porter, taylor got phuking iced with no problem by mattyssee, and ashley just lost to a nobody Japanese fighter who is not even in the boxrec top 80 rankings. He is struggling with B and C class fighters that others are beating easily. And catching lop sided loses anytime he goes up against top fighters. He's regressing every time out as a fighter, throws fewer punches, moves less, and gets hit more and more. And this aint even mentioning all the distractions outside the ring.

Fans need to realize whatever high expectations you had for Broner half a decade ago he is not reaching. He is a shell and will only disappoint you and make empty promises from here out. Figueroa is better then granados, taylor, and Ashley and that's all you have to be these days. He doesn't need to be better then mikey or maidana.

Agreed man, both guys haven’t been responsible enough in their careers. I can see where your coming from as well in terms of how the flaws in Figueroa’s game could be exposed in this fight.
              I guess we’ll find out April 21st🥊

I'm not a fan of Broner but I think he's going to beat the snot outta Figueroa, who's a face-first type fighter. And before anybody mentions it, I think Granados is better than Fig.
