Khan won the first 2 rounds and that was it. Canelo made adjustments and broke him in half to the body from then on and kept timing him upstairs. Khan took major beating to the body and then got iced. Canelo was winning on 2 score cards, including Ledderman's score card and he hates Canelo. Khan didn't outland Canelo in a single round of the entire fight and was being outboxed and beat up in the final 2 rounds of the fight before he was KO'd a inch of his life.
Brook did well early but took more sustained punishment and had his face broken. Brook was winning one 1 score card and it was a draw on the other 2 score cards at the time of stoppage and was landing far more punches especially big shots then Khan landed. This fight by any measure was closer then the Canelo/Khan fight based on compubox, scorecards or looking at GGG's face.
Brook landed 85 punches, 60 of them power punches was outlanding GGG in power punches before the final round. Brook landed more power punches then Khan landed total punches and Khan fight went 1 round longer. lol Brook was landing at a 2-1 overal rate then Khan and at a higher connect rate
The correct answer is NOPE neither guy were winning but Brook did better then Khan but at the end of the day both fighters were ****** as phuk to take these fights with brutal outcomes for each.
I like Khan but i thought his success against Canelo was overrated. The first round was close but he probably won it because of the quick right hand at the start, 2nd round he clearly won. Every other round I thought he lost, he was throwing a lot of ineffective flurries while Canelo was doing good clean work to the body to set up the big right hand that finished it.
Often when the big underdog does better than expected some fans give them rounds they didn't win. GGG and Canelo were well in front when the end came on my score card. I never doubted for a second that both Khan and Brook would be KOed. It was easy to see their KO defeats coming.
