He questions Daniel Geale's claim to be Aboriginal and he's called a racist. Who is Mundine racist against? white people apparently, even though white people have never suffered racism, and there's not one white person who Mundine made feel inferior because they were white. The press and majority of the public are adamant Mundine's a racist. Danny Green's a classic example: He says if he claimed Mundine got publicity only because of skin colour, he'd be branded a racist. Why, you're claiming he gets preferential treatment, there's no victim, so no racism. Any comment made about race in Australia that can be considered controversial is called racist. Jeff Horn has been made a National hero on the back of his gift decision over aging Pacquiao, fair enough and Daniel Geale received similar amounts of good press after the Sturm win. When Sam Soliman beat Sturm for the IBF belt, hardly a ripple from the press. When Sakio Bika won the WBC supermid belt, not one article, and limited press for Garry St Clair and Billy Dib when he won the IBF featherweight belts. There is some truth to Mundine's words, he does get a raw deal from the press, but credit to team Horn who promote him well. Danny Green doesn't know it but by accusing Mundine of playing the race card, he too is playing the race card to avoid the topic.
impartial, you make some good points but heres the thing.
mundine has had everyone of his fights on paperview. you want press, he has got it. and he has got it by being the bad guy. hes possibly the highest paid boxer ever out of aus. lets not mention that mundine is constantly labelled (by the press) as a multiple world champion, he has never one a legit world title.
Horne is all over the press because he beat pac
geale received props for a world title belt because mundine made him famous.
likewise danny green used mundine to get famous.
the others didnt get the luxury (with the exception of sam soliman) of playing off the mundine money machine.

now, arguably aus best and most recognized boxer of all time, jeff fenech, he is of maltese decent.

im not denying racism exists in aus, cause it certainly does. but mundine is playing the race card here which he usually does to get him some publicity.

I agree he plays the race card to get publicity and team Horn would be loving it too. My point is that when Mundine claims he is not treated fairly because of his colour, the public and press reply by saying he is a racist, and don't attempt to discuss his comments. They simply dismiss him. BTW when Sven Ottke retired on 27.3.04 Mundine was upgraded from regular WBA champ to full WBA champ which he lost to Siaca on 5.5.04. So Mundine has held a legit world title (albiet not for long) and is a former legitimate world champion. The Australian press for some reason include minor belts when referring to no. of world titles. Green is credited with 4 which include 2 IBO's and an interim WBC but Mundine only 3, for some reason his interim WBA belt doesn't count.

This has been mundine's schtick since he first popped up in boxing... He's said the same thing to every fighter he faces.

Australia has been infilitrated by the same far-left "revolutionary media" as the rest of the western world in recent years so this is guaranteed free marketing.

He will say the dumbest **** possible on purpose and "useful idiots" will say "The man has a point! Allow me to educate you all on systematic racism!" and it will turn into a viral sensation.

Nearly every fight he's in. Nearly always works. He knows boxing's audience is slightly lower brow & slower to catch on than that of pro-wrestling.
