Errol Spence: Who's the No. 1 fighter pound for pound? Depends when you ask. After Vasyl Lomachenko fights, everyone seems to agree "it doesn't get better than that." After Terence Crawford fights, you shake your head and say "Damn. Maybe this guy is the best." And after Mikey Garcia fights, I personally think "this guy could end up at the top one day soon."

After he beats Thurman, he'll be up there. I wouldn't consider a win over Pederson to spring anyone to the top. It was a good win, but Peterson is not a top 5 fighter.

People don't take into account that Fortuna was a pound and a half off from making 135. Easter probably wins comfortably had Fortuna drained all the way down to make the weight, or had they both weighed 136.4.

spents beats a washed up junior welterweight like peterson and all the sudden he's P4P best . spents is nothing more than a middleweight fighting at welterweight to be even considered P4P best he needs to move up and fight a fighter like charlo or BJS at middleweight . his next opponent is rumored to be amir khan

Beating LP doesnt put you into p4p consideration. When he starts unifying AND winning, then the convo can happen.

"Can you imagine a better version of Spence? As it is, I think he might be the most complete fighter of the pound-for-pound bunch when all is said and done. Again, what can’t he do?"

Nothing more needs to be said. If you're watching, it's clear what you're seeing. Similar to Loma, some people just want to come up with anything to doubt what their eyes show them. People are here questioning his P4P ranking, when he's already on our favorite lists lol

The guy is just different. A real throwback fighter in ring style and demeanor.

The guys never even fought at 135 before. He was used to getting hit by smaller guys. 1.5 lbs would not of helped Easter. He is what he is. This is the 3rd fight in a row where he looks like hes getting WORSE instead of better...

Imo power (Fortuna being heavier) had nothing to do with the outcome of that fight. Easter is not very technical, for him being so long (tall; he had a 7” reach adv.) his jab is weak and slow where it should be his biggest strength. I don’t believe Fortuna is some world beater, but he definitely got the better of Easter in the second half of the fight and frustrated him enough to keep Easter off balance. Easter will be beaten in his next fight if he doesn’t drastically switch his fighting style; no matter the level of comp.
