Comments Thread For: Javier Fortuna: I'll Go to Easter's Hometown to Get My Rematch

NEW YORK Javier Fortuna feels he was "robbed" on Saturday night in Brooklyn. He's still willing to travel to Toledo, Ohio, if that's what it takes to get a second shot at Robert Easter Jr. That's the proposal the Dominican southpaw pitched following his controversial, split-decision defeat to the IBF lightweight champion in their 12-round, non-title fight at Barclays Center.

easter is so full of malarkey, but he aint ******. god. unless easter becomes a much much better fighter fortuna beats him more
      decisively next time.

i hate when fighters dont mAke weight, and he did it on purpose. i get it, but i hate it. but holmes, godfather al bought u that decision--u got outfought and befuddled by an average sized non-elite jr lightweight.

as i been sayin simce commey, easy work for garcia. now im sure linares would totally outclass him too.

Moves a weight class up and doesn't make weight???
Runs away for the entire fight, if he actually fought he could have won.
Sick and tired of watching these guys fight for a title and they can't make weight or put their ballz down to win. Bum!

        ps; Easter is horrible!

If Fortuna had made weight, he would deserve a rematch! I think he (Fortuna) should try to fight Anthony Peterson next, and then aim for a NYC Classic vs. Felix Verdejo!

Easter would be wise to avoid Fortuna. He would be beaten more decisively and the Haymon paid judges would have a hard time denying him again. Easter better keep names like Mikey and Loma out his mouth cuz they would destroy him.

fortuna may have moved around a lot, but he spent as
              much time up in easters
grill outpunching him 7 to 1 at close range. he spent a good bit of time goin foreard closin the distance and catchin him too.

Well, I am not sure how much truth there is in Fortuna saying they only him about the fight a month in advance. And if that is true then I can see why maybe he couldn't make weight. I am not trying to make excuses for him but as long as I've known about Fortuna this is the first time he does this. He has always made weight otherwise.
As for Easter he knows the deal and its the only reason why he is saying that he does not to fight him cause Fortuna tapped that as$.
