Thurman and Crawfords movement give them a great chance to beat Spence

Spence is fundamentally sound (good feet positioning, excellent body work, knows how to cut off the ring, etc) and never break from the fundamentals even when things aren't going well. If you can't hurt Spence, he will keep coming.

Everybody was talking about how Spence gets tagged, this is boxing...everybody get's tagged. I've seen Mayweather get tagged, I've seen Crawford get tagged..it happens.

Personally I think Brook beats Crawford...Brook is not a bum. In round 2 against GGG, he was timing and tagging GGG until GGG broke his orbital eye socket.

Brook was beating Spence but Spence never broke from the fundamentals and finally broke Brook will (and his other orbital eye socket). Spence gave Floyd a black eye, made Broner cry (Broner sucks now but still) and went tit for tat with 154 lb Jermell Charlo in sparring.

Spence batters Crawford, Brook beats Crawford....everyone else at 147, I feel like Bud beats.

Brook was not only doing great in the first half but he was flat out outclassing Spence at times. Did Spence break him down eventually? Yeah he did but not after damn near getting outclassed for the whole first half of the fight.

Brook was beating Spence but he was outclassing him. The first 6 rounds was close back and forth rounds with the majority of them going to Brook, after the 6th, Spence broke him down and stopped him.

I think Spence's footwork is very good. He seems to almost always be in a good position to land his punches and that's what good footwork does for you. Bundu said he was a better boxer than Thurman. Thurman and Crawford have their own flaws and Spence will exploit their flaws and knock them out in my opinion if they ever share a ring with him. Brook won a couple of early rounds but once Spence got warmed up he dominated Brook. Spence rarely loses rounds on his way to knockout wins.

Thurmans too small, spence would chase him down and wear him down eventually. Those body shots are vicious they would make thurman crumble. Crawford might be able to beat him though.

Spence doesnt hunt you down and put pressure like Margarito does. Spence is calculated as he pressures with his jab which is smart but at the same time leaves him lookin like a plodder picking his spots.

Sure OneTime turns into RunTime but when your legs are as bad as Spence it could really cause problems for him.

It's a 12 rd fight! You know who else was doing great in the first half? The Atlanta Falcons last year in the superbowl and ended up getting dominated in the second half. McGregor was doing great in the first half of the Floyd fight and ended up getting dominated. Just because you're front running doesn't mean you can't be dominated later. He made the man take a knee and quit ffs. If that's not domination I don't know what is.

As for the topic of the thread I favor Bud but no Thurman over Spence

Thats not my point. My point is Brook in the same way that he clearly exposed GGG flaws he did the same favor to Spence.

Thurman and especially Crawford know this and see this. Now can Thurman can outlast Spence? I think he has a great shot. Can Crawford do it? I think he will.

Bud was dropped by a 130lb'er.

Thurman was shook to the core by a body shot, not once but twice.

Clocks tick'en on their 147lb careers. Bud should stay at 140 and move up once Spence moved to 154 or 160.

Thurman's in deep waters vs Spence, insiders say too deep.
For those wondering why he keeps being compared to Margarito, trust me, it's not for the skills OK.

If you were around during Margarito's KO streak following his KO probably Kermit Cintron, everyone was ducking and avoiding him. I think it was actually Cotto who decided to take him on and create the super fight everyone was looking forward to seeing. Margarito was mostly being ducked by everyone and called the most feared guy at WW.

Trust me, we aren't comparing skills, don't worry about that.

Exactly. Anybody that got into boxing at least by 2006 knew Margarito was crazy avoided. Williams beat him but man Williams took a decent beating late in the fight but props to Williams warrior heart to withstand the storm.

I mean GGG was heavily ducked too but 160 has been a wasteland for quite some time. Nothing really impressive but welterweight is the weight class that keeps on having plenty of good fighters.
