wtf happened to the belt....roy jones had it frm 1996 to 2003

then basically antonio tarver won the Vacant WBC Light Heavyweight Title and the Vacant IBF Light Heavyweight Title frm montell griffin ....these were both vacented by roy jones wen he went up 2 hevy to fight ruiz....then wen roy ones cam bak dwn he fought antonio tarver etc etc etc...then on ther 3rd fight the yonly fought for the IBO Light Heavyweight Title and theVacant NBA Light Heavyweight Title

y did tarver vacent the the wbc...cus he onlt fought glen johnson for the ibo....and fought hopkins for the ibo and the nba..

my boy tomasz adamek has it right now. he won it in may of '05 and defended it in october of '05. but right now hes in a legal battle with don king cuz king wont give him any fights. thats why he hasnt defended it as of late, cuz king wont let him.

tarver had two choices: 1. fight the madatory adamek (a no money fight at the time) or 2. fight glen johnson in a jones-conquerer clash (a huge money fight). johnson did the same, dropped a belt to fight tarver for big money.
