Because Porter has a guaranteed fight against Thurman for the unified championship. After Thurman's fight against Vargas in April, he must face Porter next. Porter is willing to wait. He wants revenge against Thurman, Thurman has more (and more important) belts than Spence, Thurman is a bigger name than Spence and a Thurman fight will pay more than a Spence fight.

The only guy dumb (or brave) enough at 147 to take the fight with Spence is Amir Khan.

Why do you guys keep saying Khan would fight anybody? All he does is talk. He's been at WW since April2013, and only fought JulioDiaz, LuisCollazo,D.Alexander, and ChrisAlgieri. He wouldn't even take a $ fight (Brook) at home. Is it because he name dropped May, Pac, and Marquez? Vargas has a better WW resume, hell Broner does.
