Thurman vs. Vargas is going to be like Degale vs Traux

According to Porter the fight is official for April

Vargas only two losses have come at the hands of 2 future Hall of Famers. Finished on his feet in both fights and held his own. Fighting Vargas coming off that long layoff isn't a tune up. Vargas is gonna beat Thurman. If anybody want o bet some real money, note e-points, send me a PM and we'll exchange paypal info

That's a real fight. I think Thurman edges it close though.

No it won't. Thurman wins comfortably. Finishing on your feet isn't some massive achievement against pacquiao lol

If Thurman had been active I would give him the W in a close fight. Thurman is coming off a long layoff and Vargas ain't a easy fight even if Thurman had been active.

Either way, HAYMON doing a great job with this matchmaking. I'd say Vargas' stance has some traits of SPENCE, and if Thurman beats VARGAS convincingly I HOPE SHOWTIME gives it a PPV go, or we get it on primetime NBC with Sugar Ray Leonard, Ranallo, and Marv Albert for the super casuals.

Thurman is 100% the real deal heavy hands, imo a better haymaker when loading left and right combos than Spence or Peterson, though Peterson can load up too rather spooky. For me its just Thurman's style that's very entertaining to watch. Of course Spence is the more composed boxer, but people forget Thurman was a runner up in the Olympic squad, and can change things around too.

With Keith's recovering hand and long layoff, depending how he beats Vargas, if by KO, he HAS TO BE Top 8 P4P imo. He's earned it. Vargas is no joke. Either way, HAYMON a badd dude!! He puts one really good American bouts.

That's a pretty tough fight to come back against, Jesse Vargas will push Thurman if he's not 100%. It's an even bigger risk than fighting Peterson; which Spence is getting so much glory for right now. lol

I actually think the Porter fight is pointless though, Thurman will fight more intelligently this time and win an easy, yet uneventful fight similar to his performance against Garcia. Still, Vargas and Porter is not a bad year at all to lead to a Spence showdown next year.

Thurman should easily beat Vargas who lost almost every round to Bradley and Pacquiao. My only question is will he fight Spence right after he beats Vargas or will he continue not fighting the guy most fans want him to fight the most?

My point exactly coming off of a 13 month layoff and elbow surgery this definitely doesn't seem like the type of bout to take. Vargas IS NOT a tuneup. Point blank.
