Hmmmm why doesn't Thurman have this same energy towards Errol Spence that he did against Paulie Malignaggi when Malignaggi had a strap? It went from "DON'T THUCK ME STHHHUN" to "Be Patient your time is coming". Hmmmm inquiring minds wanna know. Thoughts?

Because Thurman is champion now he is using the the titles to maximize his earning potential he doesn't want to take the risk of losing to Spence right nowComment

I've started calling him Keith "Tavoris Cloud" Thurman, because he does the same thing Cloud did: Fight a great fight, disappear for 12-18 months, repeat. He's almost 30, holds two titles, and no one knows who he is. One day he's going to step into the ring and be old and shot overnight, because he spends so much time out of the ring.Comment

Because he is now on the other side. He was the guy who was outside looking in, he was hungry and had to call everyone out, now he sits slightly on the throne and he doesn’t have to call anyone out, it makes it look like he is ducking anyone and everyone but that’s what happens when you are the man to beat. That’s the sport of boxing, having said that I really do believe Errol beats him whenever he is ready to step back in there.Comment

Exactly this. Before he was the hunter, now he is the hunted.Because he is now on the other side. He was the guy who was outside looking in, he was hungry and had to call everyone out, now he sits slightly on the throne and he doesn’t have to call anyone out, it makes it look like he is ducking anyone and everyone but that’s what happens when you are the man to beat. I make Spence a small favourite, Thurman has a hard style to decipher, he's skitish, kind of reminds me of Acelino Freitas. But that power stops welterweights in their tracks, I say welterweight because I think if he moved up his effectiveness would nosedive like Freitas at 135lb. His lack of physicality would get exposed, but Spence is essentially a light middleweight who squeezes himself down.
So I think he would grind Thurman down in the second half. But a lot depends on how Spence handles the power.Comment
