I would like to see each guy have 2 more solid fights each especially now that Crawford is fighting at 147, and if they both can keep winning in a pretty dominant fashion , it will be a big money fight for both. You are probably right about 2020 but lets hope it can happened next year. I personally think if Spence gets the chance to fight Thurman he would take that fight first , and rightfully so over a Crawford fight even if Crawford beats Horn.

Their body of work doesn't reflect that billing. They could well prove that in time but really they have one top win between them and was brook really considered elite? I don't think he was on anyone's p4p list so not sure how beating him makes you a p4p contender. I've got nothing against crawford but all he's really proven so far is that he can look great against B level fighters.

To be fair, Roach is the only one saying that, and he may very well have had him at #2 after the Brook fight. Who's to say?

this is shaping up to be hagler leonard matchup of our time. let it marinate a bit more.

I think crawford will be even more powerful at 147 because he boiled himself to make 140 so expect him to continue dominating.

spence was getting tagged a whole lot by brook. he beat him off pure aggression and will.

im leaning towards crawford to outclass spence.

He left out a few things, like....how manny has his "killer instinct" back, and what round manny is gonna win by KO....

Lol it's all love. I was just giving context for Roach's comment about their amateur backgrounds.

Solid post. Somebody has an objective mind on this.

I'll add that I thought the Brook win was solid considering he would've probably beat anybody at WW but Spence. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought he was too much physically for those other guys (i.e. Thurman).

I also think beating Lamont tonight would be better than anything Bud has done with, with a possible exception being Postol. But that's debatable to me.
