Comments Thread For: Horn's Promoter: We're Chasing Global Glory, Mundine Can Wait

Jeff Horn's promoter Dean Lonergan has ruled out any fight with Anthony Mundine in the short term, saying it would be a clear "step backwards". Lonergan said Horn's immediate focus was his mandatory WBO welterweight championship defence against Terence Crawford, which now looks likely to be staged on April 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

He said theyre making a lot more than 2 million to fight Crawford. This is a big fight globally, it will do well on Australian Ppv which im sure Horn will be getting a great cut of. Im glad theyre making this fight, I really wanted to see it. Its a good test for Crawfords first fight at 147. Horn is a huge welterweight, Crawford has never faced anyone like this. I still think Crawford schools him. Hopefully we can see Crawford Spence by the end of the year or early next year. That would be a huge ppv fight

Horn is big alright. He can't make 147 without a struggle. He moves up or gets KOd. Bud has too much talent to let any advantage slip past. Horn is in a pickle here. 147 and dehydrated, or 154 and guys his own size. What to do?
