Sadly I don't think this will be his last fight. As mentioned in the article and when Roy first announced it, he said it would be his last fight at this location.... The man loves to fight and it's all he knows but he needs to be protected from himself.

I'm sure we all want to remember RJJ as the boxer he was back in his prime and not a shell of himself now.

Hmm. Scott Sigmon. Lost to J'Leon "Hug Like I'm In" Love.

There should be NO WAY Jones loses. Even at advanced age. If he gets "Hopkins'd" or "Cotto'd"...

I think Roy could get seriously hurt in this fight. Hopefully this is the last one though regardless of the outcome and hopefully nobody gets permenantly damaged in the fight.
That is what i was thinking

I think this "someone has to protect him" is nonsense. Its his life, no one needs to protect him. While i think its pretty said he cant find something thats a little bit healthier than getting his head knocked off, its his decision.

I also dont think he wlll stop fighting. If he wins he thinks he still got it, and if he loses he doesnt want to go out with a "L". Maybe a draw is the only way Roy stops fighting.

When i look at his guys record, i think this opponent is not washed up enough for old Roy. The chance of him (Roy) getting knocked out is very high.

However Roy is one of the greatest fighter ever and even if he gets knocked out another 10 times, that wont change one bit.

Just let me know when RJJ retires.

He's just making the sport look bad continuing on half a$$. In sumo when a yokozuna starts not winning tournaments that mfer starts feeling ashamed & retires out of embarrassment almost. In boxing mfers hype how good they used to be to sell tickets to their current bs fight.

I don't see where Roy said he was retiring. He said this would be his last fight in Pensacola which does not mean retirement.
