  • Brook's genetics

Does he have the best genetics in the sport? I mean WTF is that physique. He looks awesome. And he was tested by VADA and also USADA and UKAD I think.

I think Hagler had a similar physique but he was a MW and god knows if he was drug tested back then.

Then you wouldn't have a problem finding clean boxers with a similar physique...

He's not massively muscled, but he is very, very lean. We all know he was always a big welter so had to cut a lot of weight and get really dry. He'll probably look softer and less impressive at light middle.

I don't agree. His relative performances versus Carson Jones contradict this. The first time he fought him at 147lbs and had to hang on for dear life towards the end of the fight. The rematch was at 150lbs and he was so much better so much more comfortable and didn't have any problems dispatching Jones. That is the first time it struck me that getting down to WW actually took something away from him. That was 5 years ago.

He will be a better fighter at 154lbs and not fleshy at all. In fact he will probably have to work hard to make it still, but he will be more durable. His only problem is that the fighters are that much bigger and arguably more dangerous.

His genetics are fine. He is a world champion level boxer who just ran into two other excellent champions who were better than him and knocked him out.
