2017 Vasyl Lomachenko vs Terence Crawford from Gamboa bout at 135 pounds

    Who wins?

Since Vasyl Lomachenko is a much better boxer than Gamboa overall and Gamboa managed to expose Crawford temporarily for a few rounds by being able to land more punches on Crawford than vice versa in those few early rounds.

Crawford got the upper hand when he started trading and brawling (hitting and getting hit) with Gamboa, rather than boxing (hitting and not getting hit), after Gamboa himself became wild and overexcited after he was stunned from getting punched by Crawford which is when he started to box on instinct, leaving himself even more open to getting hit.

If we assume that Lomachenko has the exact same speed and athleticism of Gamboa but has the superior fundamental technical boxing skills, defensively and offensively. Where Lomachenko defensively positions his guard correctly and sets his punches up properly without throwing wild random punches. Can Lomachenko go a step / few steps further and beat that version of Crawford that night?

It's only logical to assume that Lomachenko will be even more effective than Gamboa, defensively and offensively if we establish that he is just as athletic as Gamboa, but has the superior boxing fundamental technical skills.

It's only a question of if Terence Crawford can adjust and find a way again to win, after getting exposed once again (he will be in the early rounds).

'Terrence'looked awful that night. That's why I have a big question mark by his name, Gamboa showed he was considerably more skilful.

The Vasyl from now vs the Crawford vs then, i'd pick Loma by decision, Terence got hit too much back then.

That particular Crawford loses on points but that's not the fairest comparison because you can see how much Crawford learned from the fight by his next fight. He became twice the fighter in no time not unlike Lomachenko after Salido.
