How can you not like Morales?

So many people trash Morales, I really don't understand why. As far as I'm concerned he is almost the ultimate fight fan's fighter. He takes fights that often defy all logic, just out of sheer bravery, like a rematch with Paquiao. Even his first fight with Pac seemed ridiculous at the time he took it due to the fact that he was just coming off of a loss to Barrera, who was destroyed by Paquiao. He doesn't really trash talk either, he is just a steely eyed warrior.

The same goes for guys like Barrera or Paquiao. I just don't understand how you could be a fan of boxing, but not be a fan of these ultra exciting warriors who take fights with anyone and always behave with dignity and class.

He is extremly ****y and arrogant OUTSIDE the ring.
The way he talked about the second pac fight made me less of a fan of his, but i will never deny that he is a warrior and a great inside the ring.

I think a lot of fight fans rag on fighters like Morales because of the way they fight. A lot of the old school fight fans really dislike guys like Morales because they see them as warriors and not fighters. Morales is also considered by many to be a "casual fight fan's fighter", because he fights in a manner that is not scientific but yet pleasing to the crowd.

It's all just a matter of opinion and when it boils down to it it's 50/50. Half of the people who like boxing are old schoolers who appreciate guys like Muhammed Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, and even Winky Wright. The other half are the people who like to see fights and appreciate guys like Marvin Hagler and Erik Morales.

Either way I don't see how anybody could logically dislike Erik "El Terible" Morales. He's given his heart to this sport and has entertained us all time and time again. Personal feelings should be left at the door when it comes to matters of respect.
