Comments Thread For: Frampton: I May Need Career Best Performance To Beat Donaire

Carl Frampton believes he may have to produce a career-best performance to overcome Nonito Donaire in their April 21 blockbuster bout in Belfast. Two-weight world champion Frampton (24-1, 14KOs) came face to face with four-weight champion Donaire (38-4, 24KOs) at a press conference at the Europa Hotel today (Wednesday) ahead of their SSE Odyssey Arena featherweight showdown, which will be screened live on BT Sport and BoxNation in Ireland and the UK.

Seriously? lol... If Frampton doesn't cruise through him, he's most definitely done at the top. This should be easy work. No need to pretend here.

A career-best effort and a slip back by Donaire should be enough for Carl to pull out the win... he must not let the name intimidate him..

Donaire is a long way past his prime. He might land a flush left hook or two but just can't see him winning this war.
Still, Donaire's given us some quality action over the years and that can't be forgotten.

Frampton will win in points but if the left hook lands then its sleeping time for Carl.
