Compiling a list of the greatest fighters of all time is a daunting process full objectivity, so not everyone is going to agree ofcourse. I don't know, it's a tough call. Hopkins would not be in my top ten list, only because of the level of oposition he has faced throughout his career. It's not his fault the contender pool wasn't very talented, but it also didn't help when he chose to face fighters like Murad Hakkar, when it did nothing much for his legacy except add an easy defense to his record. 'B-Hop' is an incredible fighter non the less, a true force of nature. Beating Felix Trinidad, Oscar De La Hoya, and now a champion in Tarver following his 20 record defenses and his ten year undefeated stint, easily places him among my top twenty.

Hopkins isnt close to cracking my top ten all time list.
In order to come up with this list I would have to do alot of thinking and double checking records and old fights and i dont feel like doing that.

In any weightclass, that's based on opinions and many other views. I'd put him in the top 10 middleweights ever though.

Way too many names like that to have B-Hop crack the top ten.

And that's no knock, it's just being realistic.
actually Pep was another consideration. I see where you are coming from, but i honestly don't beleive that alot of the older fighter, would have been as success with the more recent fighters. many may disagree, but with the training methods of today, i really belive the fighters i listed are the best. can you post your list?

hopkins has been in the top of my list for years.

maybe more because he has been my favorite fighter, but now it's more due to his credentials, although i thought his credentials were solid in the first place, but he's more solid now......

I haven't ever sat down and actually compiled a list but I think he would be on my top 20 P4P.
