I think your timing is a bit off, Ali was a fan favorite once his suspension was lifted, he was a counter culture icon.

It was Floyd Patterson that had the issues with the black ******s, and was considered to be “the white mans champ”

Ive heard him say stuff like that but wonder if he REALLY went that far.But Joe NEVER did forgive Ali and I cant blame him.I mean to call Joe a "white man in a black body"is pretty out there when you consider Joe had lived the black experience MUCH more then Ali.He started out son of a sharecropper in deep south then moved to the Philly getto while Ali lived middle class at least for a black man at that time.You can bet Joe NEVER had a new bike to get stolen.
