  • Comments Thread For: Rapper Common is Producing a New Boxing Documentary

Rapper Common is teaming up with Argent Pictures, Los Angeles-based film production and financing outfit, to produce the boxing documentary They Fight, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The documentary follows a group of adolescent boxers and their formerly incarcerated coach in Southeast Washington DC on the road to defend their national titles. Based on Michael Minahan's article in the Washington Post, "Fight" chronicles the story of boxing coach Walt Manigan and his Lyfe Style Boxing after-school boxing program in Washington D.C.'s Ward 8, a community that is considered one of the most dangerous and economically challenged neighborhoods in America.

Wish Common would've done one for his hometown, Chicago. Maybe focusing on the Garfield Park Boxing Program where Ed Brown (RIP), Adrian Granados, Eddie Ramirez, Joshua Greer Jr, etc are from. shtty neighborhood, Ed Brown's murder and the up and coming talent from their program would make for a great documentary. They even sport the TMT style attire, except theirs is TBT "The Broke Team"

I agree. His music is boring and sounds nerdy as ***.

Saw him in this one movie where he tries to act hard it’s pretty cringe worthy.
