Just had a weird experience at an NYC area barbershop. I get my haircut by some Russian guys who like boxing (but generally casuals).

The main guy knows I watch boxing. He asks me about this American with 38 KOs. We then talk about Wilder for about 10 minutes. The whole shop is full of guys talking about his power. At this point I'm in shock.

I guess the Stiverne II fight and fighting in NYC is starting to pay dividends. I hope he gets another savage KO, which should be out there against Ortiz. Maybe there's more potential for Wilder in the US market afterall.

I've spent a lot of time in Russia. I believe they think you are the casual so they were more than likely spoofing you. They are generally a lot smarter than most Americans think they are and that is a big mistake, especially when it comes to combat sports.
