Fighters aren't 'scared' of eachother at the top level, any serious boxing fan knows what a fighter's mindset is.

He hasn't been inactive by choice, he's been injury prone since his amateur days.

Thurman's resume speaks for itself, Porter and Garcia back to back signature wins, along with other solid wins like Collazo, Guerrero, Chaves, Quintana etc. Now he's fighting another solid top 10, 2 division champion coming off surgery and a year layoff.

I agree that Thurman doesn't want to fight Spence. Very few welterweights want to fight Spence. MAyweather's offer was not impressive. If Thurman had fought and defeated Spence I doubt Mayweather would have fought Thurman.
