You're missing his fundamental understanding of balance and power generation. I've seen no end of kids who slap pads and I never give a *** but this kid is developing the types of things that even many high level boxers struggle with. I wasn't even looking at the pads. When you want to know if a boxer has "it", you watch his feet and his shoulder rotation.

Granted, you're right about chin, IQ, and many other things that determine how far he will go. But, as far as the science goes, this kid has crazy potential.
