This is going to end in diaster for Conor Benn. He is not a big welterweight at all and his style is to impose his size on his opponents. He needs to stay at light welter when he can do that. His last fight showed he just does not have the pop at welterweight, strength or size. Silly Move.

I see no point in Dubois facing those guys, It’d just end the same as his other fights. I’d like to see him in with more resilient fighters Jonathan Rice, Dave Allen, even a Fred Kassi type who might actually pose some sort of threat.
I think he’s gonna fight a lot of the guys you suggested though����, there’s a difference between gaining experience and padding your record, I don’t think he’ll gain anything blowing guys like Machaj and Healey out.

You're probably correct, but he faces the same problem that Joshua faced coming up, the level of guys that can actually take him rounds are probably too dangerous to actually put him in with at this point. I would be very weary of throwing him in with Kassi this early. That's why, if he's gonna be blowing guys out of the water in 2 rounds, have him fight every 6 weeks so he's still slowly accumulating rounds and appearances and gaining a fanbase with highlight reel KO's. Unfortunately there is a thin crop of experienced mid-level British HW's right now, no John McDermott's or Martin Rogan's for these young guys coming up the pipe and I don't think Hearn and The Rhino have any interest in facing Dubois. That's why, if I were Fish Eyes, I'd have Dubois fight Akinlade in February, Machaj in March and Nick Webb for the English Title in May. Then you can set him up for defense against guys like Lewison and Cornish in the Fall and he will be rolling into big fights by 2019.

I just don’t think it would benefit Dubois. Would it help create hype? Sure it would but I doubt he’d learn anything by icing Machaj inside a round. I quite like the Webb fight (which Dubois should win easily) although Dubois/his team have withdrawn from the purse bids.
You make a good point about how they’re aren’t any mid-level HW’s in Britain anymore, a Martin Rogan, John McDermott would be great opponent for him.
As for the fights I listed: I agree Dubois-Allen is unrealistic, Hearn and Warren rarely do business together and they wouldn’t do so for this type of fight, however I think the Jonathan Rice fight would be perfect, he’s already gone rounds with another elite prospect in Yoka so if Dubois could deal with him easily that would be a real statement.
The Lewison fight you suggesting is another good one down the road, if Iain actually fights again. Lewison is always dangerous early, I’d like to see that fight

I guess Jones is on the level of guys I was suggesting, they can sell the fact that he's undefeated, but the guy just drew with Darch, so to me this is a sideways step for Dubois, instead of a small step forward. No doubt Dubois will blast Jones out in a couple rounds, so hopefully Warren has him fighting again in March or April.
