Because of his persona Larry, you see part of his appeal towards the mid to end of his career was many hoped to see him hurt or knocked out. I remember cotto bloodying his nose during there fight and people got boners from it. It's simple really would you want a picture of someone hated by many as a screensaver in your phone knowing many will ask oh whats he doing on there he's this he's that.

Personally I rated him as a boxer on of the greats this era albeit a little untested never truly dared to be great but as a person he comes across narcissistic empathises with only himself spends money like its free. Which as many of us who work 60 plus hours per week can't relate to and find ourselves envious or jealous of such a person so to have his photo on a prestigious belt which is loved by many boxers and held in high esteem it doesn't make sense to have such a marmite character on there regardless of in ring achievement.

Look at it like this its not all about accolades arturo gatti technically wasn't anything close to hall of fame but his character and warrior spirit and entertainment he brought got him in the hof not his record. Mayweather banks on his carefully matched & timed undefeated record and earning a billion as making him this tbe figure which is a joke he has no fans ***sake he had to go china and adopt an animal formerly called beansprout just to have an entity representative of the money team as he's got no massive fan base
