Comments Thread For: Quigg, With Roach at His Side, is Confident He'll Topple Valdez

Former world champion Scott Quigg (34-1-2, 25 KOs) is hoping to get his career back to the top in 2018. And now he gets the opportunity to get there, when he challenges WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez (23-0, 19 KO's) on March 10th in an ESPN televised fight from the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Look for Quigg to get stopped in this fight. He'll be back working in the chippy by Christmas mark my words.

I really like Quigg, but I worry that he reached his potential a while ago.

I hope Roach can get more out of him, he is going to need it.

Quigg is a slight notch below Frampton and Valdez is totally unproven. Valdez has fought absolutely nobody of notoriety, so this is his real or fake test right here.

Early round nerves really got the best of Quigg in the Frampton fight - I had seem him before but didn't think of him being that slow of a starter. He didn't do **** for 6 rounds

Valdez is one of my favs - he got roughed up in his last fight, he was in pretty serious trouble at one point. I think Quigg does the power to get his attention if he throws punches..Roach should help with that. Decent matchup, I'll take Oscar tho

resurrect the legend manny steward and it won't change a thing about who's the better fighter on fight night, coach can't fight for you but increase your confidence
