Lucas Matthysse (38-4, 35 KOs) dismissed the notion that he's feeling any kind of pressure, but he accepts that this coming January 27, when he goes up against unbeaten Thai Tewa Kiram at the Forum in Inglewood, California, could very well be his final opportunity to become a world champion. He failed in his two previous opportunities to claim a world title.

mattysse CANNOT beat ANY top 10 Welterweight except for probably jeff horn & i think jeff horn would win bc he's alot bigger
Spence, Porter, Crawford, Thurman, Garcia, ALL dog walk his ass.

I hope Matthysse can do some good things at 147 since he’s one of my top 3 favorite fighters. I don’t know if he’d realistically be able to beat any of the top 10 welterweights outside of Horn, Vargas & Peterson though.

i don't mind the regular belt, maybe because i'm biassed, big lucas fan, but also because thurman fights like once a year now. it's not like those division where the wba had 3 active fighters with belts.

also i think lucas can take porter out and has a good chance vs thurman who too. i think he carried his power to 147 lbs. spence and crawford are tough calls

It's never a good sigh when a fighter talks "last chance"...
