It's funny when fighters always brag about always wanting who is at the top. Of course you want who is at the top. If you win, your wildest dreams come true. If you lose, you lost to someone at the top and there is no shame in resetting.

In one paragraph he says he wants a word title fight in 3 fights, and later says he wants to find out how long he needs for a world title fight. Thought that was interesting.

That being said, it does seem like he's willing to work his way into it and earn the big fights a bit. Going to be interesting to see whom they chose for the first 2 opponents. Let's see what he can do.

My first thought was hearn would put him in with eggington or skeete as a warm up

Trouble is I could see both of them doing well against khan . im guessing they will bring in some of eddies eastern European cannon fodder

Bro, I'm with you on this one. I'd keep him away from eggington and skeete just in case

The first fight is going to have to be one they are 100% positive he wins. The 2nd one....if they want a title shot in the 3rd bout, has to be I'd say a slight bit more than decent to try to sell it to the public. It's going to be risky having to have him step up a bit in that second fight, and knowing that a loss means that it is really, truly over.

AK is an all time great. The guy changed the sport forever. Much respect for the first-ballet hall of famer.

Dunno why you bother being on a boxing board you obviously know nothing about the sport

Agreed ... and I’m guessing Eddie must have fronted a fair bit of cash to get Khan to sign with matchroom

Eggington is limited but he has that mongo strength and decent power.

Anyone with power has a chance against Khan’s chin

I don't understand the hate for Khan. He's not the brightest, but he seems good natured and as far as I know he's put a lot into boxing in Bolton. He's sought out the really big challenges, hasn't always managed to get them, and has fallen a little short at the very top level. He was a massive underdog against Canelo but turned up with a gameplan to win the fight, not just to survive it. His fights have always been entertaining.

The black mark against him is his failure to consider a Brook fight, but it looks like he's addressing that this year. He's not elite, but boxing is better for having fighters like Khan.
