    Former welterweight world champion Amir Khan will end a near two-year hiatus from the sport with a bout in Liverpool on April 21 against an unnamed opponent, he officially announced on Wednesday. Khan, 31, whose most recent activity was spent on a reality TV programme in the jungle, made the announcement alongside Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn with whom he has signed a three-fight deal.

            Man they're acting like he just won a title. Bummmm! Never should've been boxing. Always trains for speed not power..always trains for offense not defense. Hope he losses his next fight so yall can stfu

                  ‘He never should have been boxing’, you’re talking shyte, he won his first world title aged 23 having already won a Silver at the Olympics. He beat Alexander, Judah, Diaz, Maidana, Barrera, Malagnaggi (when he wasn’t old). Was robbed against Peterson. He is an excellent boxer but unfortunately can’t take the shots above Jnr Welterweight (where he’d still be one of the best in the world if he could make weight). Dunno why you bother being on a boxing board you obviously know nothing about the sport

                    It was 'over' for Amir five years ago when he refused to date to fight any top welterweight.His brittle chin will again let him down.
