5 best heavyweights post Ali (78-) & can anyone current crack it?

Since Ali retired after the Spinks re-match who do you all see as the best heavyweights in time since (1978-)

    I'd personally go

    1. Holmes
    2. Holyfield
    3. Lewis
    4. Tyson
    5. Wlad Klit

I think Vitali could have been #4 or 5 had he not retired at his peak since he was probably better than his brother. Rid**** Bowe probably had the ability to be top 3 but obviously falls short of the 5 and I think Ibeabuchi may have been the best of the 21st century had he not gone off the rails.

Do any of the current crop have a chance of breaking the top 5 or even 3? And if so, what would they have to do?

HW division is a wasteland. after wilder vs AJ there is nothing left. so whoever wins that fight can make the strongest case.

        1 . Vitali Klitchko
        2 . Mike Tyson
        3 . Anthony Joshua
        4. Lennox Lewis
        5. Wlad Klitchko

Joshua is a 6'6 250 athletic freak in only 20 fights hes shown little weaknesses compared to just about everyone you have listed . He has also just surpassed Tyson in number of fights not going to judges . People need to realise this and that hes real not an imaginary person just like all the era top guys were down played in THEIR time .

Alls i heard in the 90's was how terrible Lennox Lewis was ....does this sound familiar now ?

Holyfield loses to Bowe and Lewis twice as well and would not have performed as well against a focused prime Tyson. Great fighter loved his fights but not in top 5

Vitali never truly beaten in career. Barely lost that many rounds. Most underrated HW ever.

          1 Vitali K
          2 Tyson
          3 Holmes
4 Lewis career saved by Manny Steward
5 Vlad K career saved by Manny Steward

Let's see what Joshua does. I'm excited about his future

Holmes is probably number one to me. Those Spinks fights were robberies and he should have broke Rocky's record.

Tyson 2, I always loved Tyson, but it's hard to say, because what Tyson COULD HAVE BEEN would easily be number one if Cus hadn't died, he never fired Rooney and he never got married to Robin Givins.

Lennox 3, he had his ****** moments and got exposed for them (Rahman, McCall) but you can't dispute his greatness.

also, are we talking lineal champs? or any alphabet champ? Because I was a huge Ken Norton fan.

Holyfield does deserve credit, but I always hated him. I thought he was dirty, I didn't like him at all, and that "draw" against Lennox Lewis makes me hate him even more, so I'm going to say Rid**** Bowe just as a FU you Evander lol
