Ive never seen speed like amir since ray leonard. Pac ij his prime at lower weiights as well.

He had a long frame and reach. Average to slightly above average one-shot power.

He just had no boxing IQ. Whether thisbwas because he is inherently that dumb. Or bad habitsnbecam3 engrainedbway too early and he never could break them, nor learn anythint new

Gerald McClellan - Size, jab, iron chin and crazy power. Along with the addition of Steward as his trainer and you had the recipe for something special. He should have never of left Steward, that mistake sealed his fate. He surrounded himself with people who didn't know what they were doing and who didn't have his best interests at heart. Even before he stepped in the ring with Benn the damage was done.

Joe Calzaghe - might seem like an odd pick as he was very successful. But he wasted most of his career due to a lack of self belief and ambition. He was very underrated during the early part of his career. Ottke was ranked above him during that time by Ring Magazine. Had he shown more ambition earlier then I think his resume could of been much deeper. He left it too late to reach his full potential.

Amir Khan - He might every well be the most naturally gifted boxer ever from the UK, but he squandered that natural ability. He lacked dedication to his sport, Hunter was surprised to find out that Khan didn't train at all between fights. Khan turned pro and had his pick of trainers but instead of hooking up with a well respected trainer he picked a guy more well known for being an MMA coach to teach him how to adapt to be a pro boxer, what kind of moron does that? Khan more than most required a great trainer as obviously he lacks the ring intelligence to fully utilise his talents. He literally gave the gold medal to Kindelaan at the Olympics by abandoning his boxing to engage the natural counter puncher. But lacked the ring smarts to realise it at the time. Such a waste of talent.

Guess your logic isn't as good without your lack of logic courses.

        1) One bout never defines a boxer's quality / value / worth. An entire career record does.

        2) Lomachenko since his loss to Salido, has beaten far superior boxers compared to Salido afterwards in terms of their accomplishments. And I mean MULTIPLE of them.

        3) A boxer's second bout doesn't indicate their boxing quality NOW / CURRENTLY. Their most recent bouts and performances do.

I advice you to stop further embarrassing yourself in public. You appear absolutely horrible!

Rid**** Bowe- he had the size and skills to be an all time great, he just didn't have the will. This mfer was silky smooth when he was motivated and in shape.

James Toney - He did some good things but he could have been so much more

Ike Ibeabuchi - just crazy, not explanation needed I don't think.

I'm going way back with Meldrick Taylor. He was probably the fastest fighter I've seen. The punishment he took from Chavez Sr more than likely ended him. It's a shame he wasn't allowed to finish the first fight with Chavez. He would've undoubtedly won because he was far ahead. Maybe career would've ended up different without that loss but the punishment he took did all the damage.

but my pick would be joan guzman. this dude had all the talent in the world. one of the best defenses I ever seen. I rememer he was being trained by floyd sr in 2007 and they were calling out pacquiao. I remember back then saying he would've been a style nightmare for manny. but it never happened. he suffered from lack of dedication to the sport.

a more recent guy I would pick also is rigondeaux. the guy shot himself in the foot with inactivity and continually stinking out the arena with lackluster performances. no it wasn't the "system" it was his crappy management team and his refusal to make exciting fights. he was constantly matched with bums on the big stage and still felt safe just cruising to a win under an avalanche of boo's. those guys he accused of ducking were never under any pressure because rigo was turning off so many fans. and with his quit job vs loma he buried himself.

broner is still young and thanks to his personality (even if you hate it) he continues getting opportunities on the big stage. he still has time to achieve greatness. first thing I'll do is fire his trainer. broner doesn't respect that guy at all. a boxer who respects his coach wont destroy their own bodies like broner does with alcohol and night life. that guys voice carries no weight. i think robert garcia will be a perfect trainer for him. the culture in the garcia camp is boxing all day and discipline.
DING DING DING I came in here to say this. Joan Guzman has got be one of the biggiest duds in the sport in recent times.

Another one I see maybe not that talented but I see his grit, grind and determination being wasted by lack of a real trainer and thats cesear juarez, i htink he can be 100x better than he is right now if he just links up with a real trainer like robert garcia or soemthing

Good call on I squared - he had everything, and then some: speed, power, athleticism. Too bad he was a head case outside the ring. No telling what he could have went on to do in the HW division.

                  My Pick

Adrien Broner: Didn't people hype this guy up as the next Floyd Mayweather? Dude won 3 world titles, just to get his career derailed by Maidana. No wonder Mayweather won't let Davis fight Loma. I think Broner received stardom before he really deserved it. Not only that, but I think his antics outside of the ring really did a number on him. I couldn't count how many times I've seen or heard, "If Broner took boxing seriously..." Dude is past his prime, at 28. He's pretty much a gatekeeper, after his performance against Mikey Garcia. Honestly, I don't think he'd be that great, even if he did start taking boxing seriously.
This board believes. Any black boxer that for what ever reason didn't have a decent career had "tremendous potential" just couldn't stay focused.

The best example is Broner. I want to know why so many people thought this guy was "really talented" when did he ever show this????

Another example is gary russel. He was a pfp god before lomachenko was done with him. Now he's literally a chum scrubber that no one talks about in the sport. Where was all this potential in the lomachenko fight
