Bob built Oscar up into the biggest ppv star in the game for many years, by the time oscar left arum he already had a handful of ppv's with around a million buys and had fought on many ppv's. He went on his own and sarted his own promotion which turned out to be good for him. Mayweather on the other hand only had 3 ppv's that did about 375k each when he left Arum. He left because Arum wanted to give him a hard fight and Mayweather ended up trying to work directly with Hbo so Arum sued them and all this stuff but anyways Mayweather kind of got screwed on the De La Hoya fight. If he would have stayed with Arum and fought a hard fight like Arum wanted Arum would have negotiated a larger percent of the purse for him. Instead ODLH ended up making 50 million and Floyd 20. Then Floyd was being promoted with Odlh for awhile and still had to pay a promoter either way. He was better off sticking with Arum he would have made more money.

Floyd was getting a lot more ppv buys than Manny and Manny was still getting 20-25 million to fight Rios, Algieri, Jessie Vargas, Bradley 3 which all did only 300-500k each. Manny had lost some fights too so I can only imagine how much more successful Floyd would have been with ArumComment
