Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury: I'm Applying For License, Will Fight in April

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury's new trainer Ben Davison believes the boxer has been harshly judged by the public and will show a different side to his character when he returns to the ring. Fury was cleared by UK Anti-Doping in December to resume his fighting career after agreeing a two-year backdated ban for an anti-doping violation.

Good move, IMO. When Fury didn't wanna train for the last fight, Peter let the ***er slack off, then blamed the fans for being too mean to Tyson.
Fury needs a real trainer who won't take that garbage. Plus, Peter was always mired is some form of bullshyt or another.

From what he has said himself.. he felt that they were going over the same things and he was reaching a plateau whereby he wasn't improving just stagnating.

In all honesty he needs to a trainer that won't stand for the **** especially when it comes to weight management. He'd do well with Adam booth or by following Saunders to Dom ingles gym IMO

I always assumed Peter Fury left Tyson to focus on his sons career. Either way conditioning is his main issue at the moment and that was always a problem when he was with his uncle.

Hopefully he can get back in shape or at least half decent shape for an easy return in April.

As for him being a draw, well that's yet to be proved. It's one thing to be well known and notorious and it's another to actually get fans to pay to watch you fight. Shannon Briggs has a high profile too with his crazy antics but that doesn't mean fans turn out for his fights. Fury is yet to prove his higher profile gained during his inactivity translates into bums on seats.

well I read an article that says he's got to provide some medical records..hope they clear that out and give him a boxing licence..the heavyweight division is so shallow it needs abit of charisma and talent, fury provides that
