I don't think many fighters are ducking other fighters so much as their promoters steer them away from certain guys for a wide range of reasons the least of which is to duck them usually.

I really don't know why Arum isn't aiming harder at matching Loma up against Berchelt doe. I think Loma beats everyone at 130 right now so why not fight the clear #2 guy in the division? Berchelt doesn't seem to be locked in with HBO so the fight seems doable & it should be a good fight for fans.

Berchelt isn't the most popular guy, but its always a solid move to get some W's over Mexican fighters in these lil guy divisions cuz the Mexican fans are among the biggest fanbases in the world for boxing. If Loma can get some more Mexican fans maybe he can turn into a PPV guy at some future date which I'm sure is Arum's long term plan.

Is Berchelt still in some sorta relationship with HBO? They got options or something?

I see Berchelt's upcoming fight is on Box Azteca. That makes me assume he's not locked in with HBO or has outs to pursue other options at a minimum.

No idea, tbh. Berchelt is signed with Zanfer Promotions, who have done business with Arum (but may have a co-promotional situation with Golden Boy), but his last two fights were on HBO.

His next fight seems to be a tickover at home, but I imagine HBO would be on board for the next meaningful fight that comes along.

With a likely offer for his next fight from HBO, Zanfer doesn't have to simply take whatever Arum offers

So... just to get this straight, you're being a dumbass because some other people were being dumbasses? Didn't your parents tell you that thing about jumping off bridges?
