Do people really care for Khan-Brook??

I’m a british guy and enjoy good domestic matchups but
this fight is meaningless IMO, it’s just another Haye-Bellew fiasco, two desperate fighters trying to falsely sell a fight on “bad blood” and “BEEF” cause they know it’s their only hope of getting a payday to cash out on. We all know they’ll be hugging at the final bell saying weak **** like “it’s all squashed” and “respect”
I was interested in this fight 2-3 years ago but both guys are just damaged goods now and are embarrassingly desperate for another payday. In the context of world boxing this fight means nothing. I know the casuals over here will lap it up but do genuine boxing fans have any interest in it?

It's a good fight, even though both guys are somewhat irrelevant now.

With the exception of Joshua/Fury and Groves/Eubank JR (which will have happened by then), What other domestic fights are there that will be this high profile?

That's the thing though if a fight did happen between them it would depend on the announcement tomorrow.

I don't think it is true that Khan is signing with Hearn but if he does its the end game for both Brook and Khan or Khan is just basically going to show his power to Brook again by showing he doesn't need him by bringing marquee names over to the UK with his big profile, lucrative pulling power and obvious vulnerabilities which makes him low risk, high reward.

It would also be likely there could be a belt in play. Brook will be chasing Sadam Ali at 154lb. Khan will be chasing possibly Thurman or the winner of Horn vs Crawford. I say possibly because we all know Hearn likes to protect his fighters but Khan has always been a wild bastard.

It's too early to say it's a meaningless fight for the rest of the world.

For us Brits though meaningless or not, belts or no belt...this is THE fight we've wanted for well over a decade let's not pretend we don't.

I am not a fan of either boxer because they are such huge braggers. I would love them to fight because they have talked about the damn fight for 10 years or so. Brook seems to really want the fight while Khan has always said NO THANKS. I think Brook would KO Khan at 154. He is the bigger better fighter and punches more than hard enough to shatter Khan's chin. Brook can't and won't fight at 147 so Khan might use that as an excuse and refuse to fight Brook at any weight above 147.

It's still a big fight in the UK, even if one is coming off a big loss and the other has been inactive and coming off a loss.

It's the kind of fight that will cross over to the UK general public and casual market and they only really care about names, so it's a huge fight here still at least.
