    IBF junior middleweight champion Jarrett Hurd (21-0, 15 KO) threw out the challenge and demanded a fight with WBA, IBO champion Erislandy Lara (25-2-2, 14 KO). Now sources indicate to BoxingScene.com that Hurd is about to get exactly what he wanted as both sides are very close to a deal for an April date on Showtime.

        Awesome matchup!! I can't wait to see this!!! Lara needed a good quality opponent and hopefully he'll come out on top in a more exciting fight this time.

          Really hope this gets finalized. Lara really needs a signature win after being robbed in big fights and having a less than crowd-pleasing style. On the other hand, Hurd winning could set up a Charlo fight, and that would be huge.

                I kind of see a UD. Trout was doing great until he got tired and kept trying go toe2toe with the much bigger man. But Trout was landing everything but the kitchen sink on Hurd.

                    i think lara outboxes him. hurd has no defense and just goes forward. or at least that's what i saw from him in the few fights that i've seen
