The winter break is over. No more hangovers. No more rotten holiday cake. No more visits from weird in-laws. If 2018 is anywhere near or better than 2017, boxing fans will rejoice match-ups between the best in boxing. That will remain to be seen, though. There are some promoters that will not work with other promoters or advisors (You can fill in the obvious blanks), unless they are mandated by sanctioning bodies for a world title fight.

Garcia vs Linares is such a mismatch!!! Linares has nothing against Garcia!!! Linares has been protected for a long time... his true quality was shown at the hands of Demarco, Thompson, and Salgado!!! Promoters and Media hyping this as a great fight!!!

This is the best we can hope for in 2018? Okawa-Farmer is in the top 7? Is 2018 really going to be that much of a letdown? Hopefully we get Kovalev-Stevenson/Beterbiev, as well as top fights at 147 and 140, and Lomachenko fighting two of the 135 champs, if not Pacquiao, before the end of 2018, along with the best fighting the best at all the other weight classes. I hope Loma-Mikey happens this year, but if it doesn't, there better at least be a lot more fights between the best guys in each division than appear on this list. This list is disappointing.

Exactly. It's a ****ty fight. Lomachenko-Linares on the other hand is a good fight only because of the styles and Linares size advantage. Vs Lomachenko, Linares presents some P4P skill (and size) problems. Vs Mikey, all that is out the window because his chin will fail before any of that matters.

Even Loma-Linares is only a good fight, not a great fight. Biased media keep talking about how it should happen by the end of the year, like it needs ot be built up. Bull****. THAT is a stay busy fight for Garcia, not a fight to build towards. It doesnt matter that Linares has a paper belt. It's not a mega fight. It's a fight where each should get 1 to 1.5 mil and put it on regular TV, make it any time. It should be next. Stop drawing out average fights ffs, it's ruining boxing.
