By Tris Dixon - Styles make fights but personalities make attractions. It's long been known that little sells in boxing like conflict, grudges and vendettas that can only be settled in one place the prize ring. It is why there is more money on the table for B-list fighters who play the bad guy and talk smack than A-list fighters who could not care less if they are popular, whether they have a large social media following or court any kind of controversy...

Actions speak louder than words. Always preferred a boxer like that not this wannabe wwe **** you seem to see every other day.

Trash talks are fun only when that fighter can back it up to a degree. Mayorga is a joke.

He was fun for a minute back in the early 2ks but he burnt out quick.

                Good article.

When you said "less than comfortable speaking English", I thought you were referring to Ohara Davies.

Hence the reason for Broner's continued success and remaining somewhat relevant. Not a great talent, but spun his arrogance and clowning into a bigger paycheck--and I wouldn't call what he does an act, he strikes me as a genuine shytbag. Which isn't saying a whole lot since guys like Joshua, Thurman, Crawford, Mikey Garcia are earning just as much or more without being toolbags.

Mayorga and Miranda were the only trash talkers who I thought were entertaining. Mostly because they did it knowing full well they didn't have a chance in hell of winning.
