Hurd should rename his ring nameto "Hurt"

There is nothing swift about this guy. He gets caught more than 100 punches per fight. That is not swiftness. But "Hurt" sounds more fitting because he is the one bringing the Hurt to the opponents and he himself cant get hurt.

Lol, I totally agree. I was watching him recently and i thought there was nothing swift about this guy in the ring. Maybe "The hurtman" or "Hurt" suits him better than swift.

OP justifies Lil'G getting tagged himself only to return those meaningful punches....and he's criticizing Hurd....

Hurd has weighed at 158 in various fights...he's big.. he should be where Jermall Charlo is now...he was trolling with Trout

I like the idea, man, but it just doesn't roll off the tongue. Try saying that out loud in your best Buffer voice... (like I just did to my bemused baby son)

Typically non leading Ring names need to rhyme (either with the first or last name) rather than alliterate - hence Jarrett 'the Word' Hurd or Jarrett 'Sure Bet' Hurd. Alternatively a strong cultural reference can be used - as in Jack 'The Ripper' though none really lend themselves to Hurd's name. Or a suitable adjective can go before his name as in 'Iron' Mike or Marvellous Marvin which will often but not always alliterate... as in Jagged or Jazzy Jarrett.

'The Hurt' kinda works but still ain't great... like you say though, 'Swift' is just false advertising.

If Buffer say Jarred "The Hurt" HUUUUUUUUUUUUURD! It kinda has some roll on it.

The crazy thing is he is actually capable of making people miss him. Even against Trout, he took a lot of punches initially, then he started to move and make him miss. He was able to catch Trout easier just by moving a little bit and countering.

I don't know why he decided to go full Margarito when he's actually capable of being "slick".
