He'll be 36 in April. If he fights & beats Canelo in May I think its BJS & than a third fight with Canelo likely sometime in 2019 after Canelo has shaken off the L & let GGG get a lil older.

If GGG loses I think he's gotta take the best money fight vs the best guy to get him in position to get a 3rd Canelo fight or a fight with whoever beats Canelo from that point.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he just calls it a career. I think GGG will be one of these guys who'll just randomly hang them up after a fight, win or loss, & he'll be out for good. People talk like GGG will be boxing into his 40's sometimes I see. I don't see it happening. I think he's closer to his final lap then people think.

Yea I think of all the possible situations the one most likely is that if GGG beats Canelo in May BJS is next. Thats like almost a 100% likely thing to go down next.

Idk about him retiring in 2018 sometime, I think 2019 might be it doe, but I do think he'll retire out of the blue so if he loses to Canelo in May or if he beats BJS later in 2018 & has all the belts that wouldn't be a bad time to call it a career & I wouldn't be that shocked by the move. He's no spring chicken.

This response will likely get a lot of hate, but it's becoming obvious enough in his last few performances that there was a reason why he was matched the way he was matched for so long.

Believe it or don't, Billy Joe Saunders is a nightmare style matchup, made worse with the fact that he's just physically peaking and that he's made the change to Ingle's Gym in Sheffield.

If Golovkin beats Canelo, I see the middleweight belts going vacant almost immediately, as Golovkin tries for a third fight with Alvarez ("Ring Magazine title is the true recognition" or some other bull****) or hope that Groves or Eubank Jr wins the WBSS and is willing to travel to Las Vegas to fight him.

If Golovkin gets beat, he'll still clamor for a third fight and if that were not to materialize, would likely test out his draw value in Europe ("fight in Kazakhstan" but have the camp keep the eye on what the Russian and German TV money is looking like).

If/when he beats Canelo, he'll fight Mayweather in September.

He's never had problems making 160, and168 has nothing right now. If a winner of WBSS emerges and it's impressive, then that can be a great fight.

If he beats Canelo, he needs to fight Saunders to unify, then make 5 good defenses. Jacobs rematch, Charlo, Derevyanchenko. Maybe fight Canelo 3rd time?

Depends on two things, how much he has left and the outcome of his rematch against Canelo. If he wins the rematch then I could see the BJS fight going on. Or I could see him moving up to 168 for lucrative fights. If he loses then I could see him having another one or two fights and retiring.

depends on the purse they can get outta golden boy,if he gets the amount hes happy with could take a couple of easy defenses brak b'hop record and retire dont think hell give charlo a shot maybe go for saunders thats if he beats canelo.if he gets good money but loses vs canelo bjs will be allover him maybe goes that way for a quick title try win or lose i really dont think hell be active in 2019.thinking he goes the chino maidana rout not that abrupt but after to big paydays really inclining to retire he has taken lot of punishment in his last 2 fights hard shots from hard punchers think win or lose hell get hit more than a few times in the rematch hell go with soft touch then rwtire dont think he will fight any of those young up and coming middleweights the charlos and dereyvichenkos or whatever his name is canelo will be ggg last real risky fight.

yup after nelo no more big punchers after jacobs 2 or 3 fights w- canelo that will add up to a lot of leather bjs would be perfect light hitter make good money going to england and no danger of getting brain damage.i dont see him going after big punchers like charlo or deryvichenko, maybe arum makes him a good offe3r to fight zurdo if zurdo continues undefeated looking to add ggg name to resume i think ggg would take that fight if good money is offered seeing how zurdo doesnt sit on his punches much anymore.
