Can we agree that Ward's Lowblows changed the course of the Kovalev fight?

Kovalev was able to take Ward's bodyshots fine until Ward threw a lowblow in a clinch in Rd7 which hurt Kovalev bad.

At the start of Rd8 Kov was still hurt from that lowblow. Then came more lowblows mixed with legit bodyshots. Then came the headshot and KO.

Did Ward land good shots to the head and body in Rd8? Sure. But they came AFTER Kov was hurt by the initial lowblow.

As someone who has been hit low in the ring before, I can tell you that even a single lowblow FCVKING HURTS and can destroy a fighter.

You would think that this would be common sense to guys but..... apparently not.

Lastly, fighters of Ward's precision and calibre don't accidentally go below the belt.... they do it on purpose and know what they are doing.

The answer is NO. Protect yourself at all times, especially your balls! I like Kovalev, but he just couldn't take Ward's body shots and wanted a way out. Kovalev has a glass body against body specialists like Ward.

Tough fighters fight through worse adversity.

      Ward is a level above.

not to tread over old ground but its ridiculous how that has been revised to be some dominant, conclusive win for ward. Low blows are illegal shots for a reason, cause they ****ing hurt. Whether people like it or not, they arent legal. To end the fight with a shot like that is beyond a joke. I watched highlights on skysports annual show with family over xmas, and they assumed that when the ref stepped in to stop the fight that they were stopping it to disqualify ward. They dont know much about boxing but thats the logical assumption, that you are going to penalise someone for an illegal shot. Yet on here, we've got the resident experts calling kovalev 'wards son' and raving about the performance. This is coming from supposedly respectable posters too. A fight got ended by someone getting punched in the balls, thats the fact of the matter. By wards standards he fought fairly clean in the 1st fight and struggled so i'd imagine these were deliberate tactics for the rematch. Boxings better off without him.

Those legit body shots after the big right hand in Rd8 changed the fight. Ward beat Kovalev period stop with the excuses.

No low blows just faked ones by kovalev.

What really changed the fight was the right hand.

                    Low blows

Rabbit punching and Sergey fighting dirty.

Only one gets brought up by salty Kova fans.

One thing that throws me off is how can someone with the mantra The Krusher, be so weak as the fight proceeded, and then afterwards?
